Privacy policy

HybridPulse is an AI training coach for people who combine strength training and running. Coaching only works with your training and health data, so we want to be clear about what we collect, why, and what you can do about it. Short version: we use your data only to coach you. We don't sell it, we don't show ads and we don't track you across other sites.

Who we are

HybridPulse is run by [NAME], [ADDRESS], the Netherlands (Chamber of Commerce: [KVK]). We are the controller for your personal data under the GDPR (AVG). Questions or requests: info@hybridpulse.nl.

The beta waitlist

When you join the waitlist on this website we store your email address, the language of the page and, if you arrived through a link like ?ref=instagram, where you came from. We use this only to send you your beta invite. We don't store your IP address with your sign-up. We remove you from the waitlist as soon as you create an account, or earlier if you ask us to.

This website uses no cookies, no analytics and no third-party fonts or scripts.

What the app stores

• Account: name, email address and a securely hashed password. A cookie keeps you logged in; it's needed for the app to work.
• Training profile: your goals, experience, available days, equipment, maxes and body weight.
• Training data: the workouts and sets you log, your runs (distance, pace, heart rate, splits and, for GPS runs, the route), and anything you import yourself.
• Health data (only if you connect it): from Apple Health or Health Connect, such as workouts, heart rate, resting heart rate, heart rate variability (HRV) and sleep. You choose which types to share in your phone's settings and can withdraw that at any time.
• Feedback you send from the app, with the screen you were on and your device type.

Health data is a special category of personal data. We only process it because you explicitly allow it when you connect Apple Health or Health Connect, and only to coach you.

How we use it

• To create and adjust your weekly training plan, analyse your training and recovery, and show your progress.
• To keep the service working and secure, and to fix problems you report.
• If you add friends in the app, they see what you choose to share with them. Nothing is public.

We don't use your data for advertising, we don't sell or rent it, and we don't make decisions about you with legal or similarly significant effects.

AI processing

The coach runs on Claude, an AI model by Anthropic. To create a plan or an analysis we send the relevant part of your profile, training and recovery data to Anthropic's API. Anthropic processes it on our behalf to generate the answer and, under its commercial terms, does not use it to train its models. Anthropic is based in the United States; transfers are covered by the safeguards in its data processing terms (EU Standard Contractual Clauses).

AI output is training guidance, not medical advice.

Who else processes your data

• Hosting: our server runs at [HOSTING PROVIDER] in [COUNTRY, EU].
• AI: Anthropic, as described above.
• App stores: Apple (TestFlight / App Store) and Google (Play) when you install the app, under their own privacy policies.

We have data processing agreements with the parties that process personal data for us.

How long we keep it

As long as you have an account. When you delete your account in the app, your account, profile, training and health data are deleted from our database immediately and from our backups within 14 days.

Your rights

You can access, correct, export and delete your data. Most of this you can do yourself in the app (Profile: download your data, delete account). You can also withdraw consent for health data at any time in Apple Health or Health Connect. For anything else, email info@hybridpulse.nl and we'll respond within a month. If you're not happy with how we handle your data, you can file a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens).

Security

All traffic is encrypted (HTTPS), passwords are hashed, the server only exposes the website itself, and backups are kept on the same protected server.

Changes

If we change this policy in a way that matters, we'll tell you in the app before it takes effect.
